What does it mean that Jesus is the Way?
Main idea: Students will wrestle with what Jesus meant when he called himself 'the Way'—not as a boundary that shuts people out, but as God's active movement toward us. They'll discover that Christian faith isn't just something to believe, but something to be encountered, practiced, and personally owned.
John 14:1-7 is an often-quoted passage, and teens may have heard the words "I am the Way" sometimes used as a line in the sand. Teens need a safe space to explore it honestly, and a framework that builds confident, rooted, and wide-awake faith rather than the inherited, going-through-the-motions kind.
In this session, you’ll guide students to observe what embodied, “awake” faith looks like in their world around them, reflect on what it could look like in their own lives, and consider the invitation Jesus' words in John 14 might have for them.
