Praying With Lament
Prayer helps young people deepen their connection with God, and can help them talk openly with God in hard or troubling times. Through this prayer journaling activity, you’ll lead your group to think about and discuss how honesty with God about their feelings, hurts, and frustrations can lead to deeper relationship. Then, you’ll lead them to write and pray their own lament prayer. This activity can be used with your youth group to lament pain, sadness, or loss together or individually.
